Monika is a realism-driven artist born in the Central Valley and raised in Parlier, California. She is a Mexican, first-generation college student attending Reedley College, majoring in Studio Arts. She plans on transferring to Fresno State in Fall 2026 to pursue Interior Design. This past year, she was selected for her work, Ojitos Mentirosos, to be published in the Reedley College Kings River Review Publication. Recently, she has also been selected for Ojitos Mentirosos to be the cover of the Reedley College Symmetry Publication for the English Department. She has been a part of other activities such as dancing Folklorico for six years, four of those years dancing for Los Paisanos de Selma High School, and two years dancing for Teocalli Cultural Academy
