Corina was born and raised in Fresno, CA. She is a first-generation college student who holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from California State University, Fresno, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Chicana/o Studies at California State University, San Jose. As a Chicana feminist, her research interests focus on women as cultural bearers. She recently presented her research at the NACCS 2024 conference, which contributed to her receiving the City of Fresno Women’s Commission 2024 Scholarship.
Fun fact: She is an Aztec danzante, and through her dance, she celebrates, connects, and honors her cultural heritage.
