Mari Dominguez-Ruiz

Staff Attorney at the ACLU National Prison Project

We’re excited to announce our new speaker series, On All Fronts
“I don’t believe in fighting today in any one front, but on all fronts.” – Malcolm X

The issues surrounding immigration policy are as complex and multifaceted as the lives they impact. This series will highlight researchers, advocates, and culture makers confronting injustice in the immigrant community from different angles and on many different fronts.

Join us on March 21 from 1–3 p.m. for a presentation by Mari Dominguez-Ruiz, who will discuss her casework defending incarcerated people in adult, juvenile, and immigrant detention facilities.

Following her presentation, Melissa Moltavo, accountability reporter for The Fresno Bee, will moderate a discussion.

Mari Dominguez-Ruiz (she/her), is a Staff Attorney at the National Prison Project. Mari initially joined NPP as a Justice Catalyst Fellow and her project aimed to apply underused disability laws to carceral settings to end the harmful practice of solitary confinement of incarcerated people with disabilities.
