Artist Bio
Nataly Barajas is the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants; born and raised in southeast Fresno, California. As an artist and curator, Barajas explores what it means to be a first-generation American: the yearning, grief, anger and the pride, love and community that all comes with being. Through painting, video and installations, Barajas is able to nurture their Mexican roots and build a home on this American soil. They attended Fresno City College and transferred to California State University East Bay to complete their undergraduate studies. Barajas received their BFA in Fine Arts Practice in May 2021. They also received their Associates in Graphic Communications in May 2024 from Fresno City College.
Biografia del Artista
Nataly Barajas es la hija orgullosa de inmigrantes Mexicanos; nació y se crió en el sureste de Fresno, California. Como artista y curadora de arte, Barajas explora lo que significa ser estadounidense de primera generación: el anhelo, dolor, ira y el orgullo, amor y comunidad que acompañan al hecho de ser. A través de pintura, video e instalaciones, Barajas es capaz de cultivar sus raíces mexicanas y construir un hogar en esta tierra estadounidense.
Ella atendió Fresno City College y se trasladó a California State University East Bay para completar sus estudios universitarios. Barajas recibió su BFA en la Práctica del Arte Fino en mayo de 2021. Ella también recibió su Asociados en Comunicaciones Gráficas en mayo 2024 de Fresno City College.
