Arte Américas is teaming up with Macy’s and el Consulado de Mexico to bring you Cocina con Arte, a series celebrating the culinary arts of Latin America.
Let’s cook and sip along with Esteban as we cook our way through the Chicano Eats Cookbook! In this class you’ll be learning how to make Tacos Al Pastor! This recipe will include pork, chicken, and TVP (soy meat) for a vegan friendly option, along with a passionfruit mojito that can be made without alcohol as well!
About Esteban Castillo: Esteban is a Chicano (Mexican-American) who grew up being a part of two completely different cultures, he currently lives in SoCal, he received his Bachelors Degree in Pubic Relations with a Minor in Graphic Design from Humboldt State University and works in PR/Digital Marketing. He decided to start Chicano Eats (https://chicanoeats.com) because he is proud of his roots and wants you to “experience un pedacito de [su] cultura and traditions through food” while sharing the recipes that he grew up with and stories from his experience as a queer Chicano.
Recipe and Log in details: You will receive the recipe and zoom link in an email update after registering, and Arte Américas will send the information again a few days before the event.
